With a displacement of 40.9 cm³ and 2.2 PS, the Husqvarna 435 is in the area of private users. The saw can be started without any problems when it is cold. To start, the choke lever, which is located to the left of the main handle, is pulled out. After pressing the primer button several times, a manually operated fuel pump that fills the carburetor with fresh fuel during a cold start, the starter rope can be pulled. As soon as the ignition sound is heard, the choke lever is pushed in and the chainsaw starts without any problems.

First of all, high-quality workmanship is noticeable. The chainsaw looks very compact compared to other devices tested and has a good center of gravity. The Husqvarna feels good in the hand. Anti-vibration elements between the motor unit and handle unit ensure comfortable and quiet handling. With a weight of 4.2 kg without a cutting set and equipment, the chainsaw can already impress. Refueled and assembled, it weighs 5.7 kg. This results in an excellent power-to-weight ratio of 3.56 kg / kW (including equipment). This ensures that you can work with the saw for several hours.

A viewing window on the oil tank, which has a capacity of 0.17 L, enables the oil level to be easily checked. With a noise level of 103 dB (A), the Husqvarna 435 is on par with comparable chainsaws in the test.

Overall, the Husqvarna makes a very good impression on us after just a few minutes.
There is only one deduction when changing the chain. This turns out to be slightly more complex than with other saws. This is due to the external clutch housing, which makes the change a challenge.

The chain tension is again uncomplicated. The rail nuts are loosened with the included combination wrench and tightened using the chain tensioner, which can also be operated with the combination wrench.

Sawing capacity:

With a chain speed of 17.3 m / s, the saw has established itself as a powerful tool for frequent saws. Beech (hardwood) and spruce (softwood) with a diameter of 10, 20, and 25 cm are no problem for the saw. In the sawing test by StiftungWarentest, the Husqvarna 435 sawed a 14 cm spruce trunk in 5 seconds.
This makes the Husqvarna chainsaw ideal for preparing firewood and caring for trees. Not only sporadic do-it-yourselfers get their money’s worth here. The device can also be used for delimbing trunks in the forest.

The Husqvarna is of high quality, which is why all the relevant parts that are supposed to ensure safety at work are made of sturdy materials.

The sturdy metal claw prevents the saw from slipping.

The chain brake stops the chain immediately after releasing the protective handle. A throttle lock on the main handle prevents unwanted throttle acceptance. When grasping the handle, the throttle is released.

Price-performance ratio:

The high-quality workmanship and the current special price of the Husqvarna 435 lead to an excellent price/performance ratio. In the Husqvarna 435, you will find an efficient all-round saw that will not let you down.

Husqvarna 435 Problems

I share with you the problem faced by a user.

The saw is now 3/4 years old and has the following problems.
When I got it new it ran great, but after a quarter of a year it started when it was really nice and warm, then it didn’t start anymore.
If I start it in a warm state (normal without choke) it hums briefly and goes off again without taking gas or something.
The same applies when I use the choke to hum an end. Since the saw has a small hand pump, I noticed that it is empty when it is warm, I can pump as I want and don’t get any fuel (drive mix). The machine is back cold, so after 1 hour or so, I can pump in fuel again.
Had the saw already 2 times at the dealer, but he did not get the saw really warm because you were only cutting on a piece of wood, the error never occurred. You have readjusted the carburetor, etc. but no improvement. From Husqvarna’s side is nothing known from such a lack of machines.
I’m really desperate with the machine, actually, I’m really happy with the machine when it’s running.
It always seems to me as if she is not getting any fuel. I can also give full throttle when starting this has no influence on the problem.

Here are a few more data:

The machine is 3/4 year old
The problem occurred after about 6 weeks and has not been managed until today
The dealer has already made two improvements
The machine has been running
for about 30 hours. 90% of the time it is used to full capacity.
Drive a 30 rail.
Forestry work in professional use.
